Not Guilty Verdict For Former Police Officer

Jonathan Josey, former Philadelphia Police Officer, was rendered not guilty. Josey was charged with simple assault after he struck a woman in the face during the Puerto Rican Day Parade in 2012. The incident was caught on tape and viewed by millions. The trial was not judged by jurors. The decision was left solely on the judge himself, who deliberated for two weeks, due to it being a bench trial.

Apparently, Jonathan Josey is "looking forward to getting back to work". Which means he may have an option of becoming a Philadelphia Police Officer once again. I mean, really dude, if he wasn't an officer would he have been not guilty, let alone about to get his job back even though the incident was perpetrated while he was on duty?
